Ferguson's Garden Center - Since 1976

Ferguson's began in 1976 out of a corn crib on the family farm near Terril, IA. Ken Ferguson started Ferguson Landscape planning to do some small planting jobs and sod a few lawns. The business took off more than he had planned, so in 1980, he moved the business to its present location on Hwy 71 in Spirit Lake. The landscape business expanded at that time to include a garden center with greenhouses and a nursery. Ken always believed in re-investing in the business so each year he continued to replace older buildings or greenhouses with new state of the art facilities. In Nov 2007, Chris and Renee Quance purchased the retail portion of Ferguson Landscape from Renee's parents and named it Ferguson's Garden Center. Ken is still working in the landscape side of the business with his son Ryan.
